Debute single CLOUDS of Yoebe Hollestelle
'Clouds' is the debut solo instrumental release by guitarist and composer Yoebe Hollestelle, released on 40 Lions Records. The composition emerged from a deeply personal moment of reflection on the loss of his grandparents; a theme not expressed in words, but carried through sound. The music unfolds slowly and organically, where guitar, bass, drums, and keys form an open, breathing soundscape. Rather than following a traditional song structure, it moves in waves of memory and motion, where space and silence are as essential as the notes themselves. At the center is the expressive guitar playing of Yoebe Hollestelle, one of the most promising young guitarists in the Dutch rock and fusion scene. His playing combines technical precision with a strong melodic and emotional instinct, shaped by years of study at Codarts Rotterdam and extensive live experience across national and international stages. The performance is brought to life by Sanne Verbogt on bass guitar, Peter Weissink on drums, and Berthil Busstra on keys, Rhodes, and synths, each contributing to a collective sound that is deeply interactive, subtle, and dynamically responsive rather than arranged in rigid layers.Juan van Emmerloot handled the mix and mastering, preserving the dynamics of the performance while delivering a warm, transparent sound in which every detail can be heard without losing the natural flow of the music.'Clouds' is not a traditional single, but a captured moment: a cinematic composition in which personal memory is translated into sound.
