Tobacco Road Blues Band - Ruby´s Nightspot Radio Edit

"Ruby's Nightspot" is the already 18th single of the four musicians from Carinthia/Austria. "And it's probably the only blues in A flat minor," smiles founding member Peter Prammerdorfer, who wrote the song.

Packed in the song there are numerous locations from the origins of the Delta Blues. The titular "Ruby's Nite Spot", for example, was a legendary blues club in the delta of the 40s and 50s, in which the then (and later) greats of blues and rock performed: T-Bone Walker, Little Richard and Ike Turner - to name just a few. Another quoted hot spot of the song and also part of the Mississippi Blues Trail is, for example, the Dockery Farm, a plantation on which Bues legend Charley Patton is said to have worked and through whose reputation even Howlin' Wolf and Robert Johnson are said to have stopped there.

Musically, the song - apart from the key - stands out by a rather genre-atypical two-part guitar solo by Peter Prammerdorfer and Mike Diwald.
