The debut Single by North of England Alt Rock upcomers The Larches
The Larches are a band formed in Teesside, England and have been playing as a five piece ever since early 2023. They draw influences from a plethora of bands, such as Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Black Flag, Korn, The Libertines, Rage Against the Machine, IDLES, The Strokes and Pantera, among many others. They currently gig around the Teesside area such as the Georgian Theatre, The Studio and NE Volume Bar and other places of notice. The five-piece started off in a more indie rock direction, but are slowly moving to a heavier, punkier direction. The band started in late 2021 when bassist and former lead vocalist Alfie Murphy and drummer George Moss started playing indie rock covers in their school, later playing in Murphy’s shed. In summer of 2022, they met Jack Gardener, becoming a three piece. Throughout the next 6 months, they cycled through several members, before settling upon Joel Hardwick and Noah Annandale at a local music event, each playing guitar and vocals respectively. They are currently working on writing songs and growing outside the Teesside area.
