The spirit of the FunkMothers is rooted in the passion for the music of the golden fusion era with influences such as Return to Forever, Scott Henderson, Herbie Hancock and Jeff Beck. Their legendary live album was recorded in 1997 at the Viennese jazz club Porgy & Bess and is an insider tip among Austrian fusion releases. Most of the timeless works come from the pen of Albert O. Mair and Mathias Lang. Mair initiated the project in 1989 at the age of 14.
