Das C.O.B. hat bisher neben fünf CD-Veröffentlichungen über 150 Kompositionen von mehr als 30 Komponisten uraufgeführt, die diese spezielle Bandstruktur zwischen Big Band und improvisierendem Kammerorchester als experimentelle Plattform für ihre musikalischen Ideen nutzen, ausdrücklich mit dem Ziel, sich selbst keinerlei stilistischen Grenzen zu setzen. Komponist und spiritus rector der aktuellen Produktion "Exoplanet" ist der 1978 in Nürnberg geborene Saxophonist Christian Korthals, der sich im Laufe der Jahre zu einer gefragten Kreativ-Instanz - auch im Bereich Schauspiel - entwickelt hat.In addition to five CD releases, the C.O.B. has premiered over 150 compositions by more than 30 composers, who use this special structure between big band and improvising chamber orchestra as an experimental platform for their musical ideas, with the explicit aim of ignoring any stylistic boundaries.Composer and spiritus rector of the current production Exoplanet is the saxophonist Christian Korthals, born in Nuremberg in 1978, who has become a much sought-after creative authority over the years – as a musician as well as an actor.
