“Down At The Bayous", basierend auf einem düsteren Swamp-Rock-Groove erzählt die Geschichte eines mysteriösen Werwolfs, der in den Donauauen um Wien sein Unwesen treibt. Das Stück hat seit Jahren einen festen Platz im Live- Repertoire von BNB - jetzt erstmals als Digital Release. THE BRAND NEW BARBARIANS (BNB) wurden Ende der 1990er Jahre von Mitgliedern der österreichischen Rock-Formation BAHÖÖ (Gerald "Futsch" Furian, Georg Edlinger und Jürgen "Doc G" Gerstmayer) mit der Absicht gegründet vergessene R&B- und Rock-Perlen mit auf zwei Gitarren plus Schlagzeug reduzierten Arrangements aufzufrischen. Die Band hat im Laufe der Zeit ihr Line-Up und das Repertoire um eigene Kompositionen erweitert und setzt seither auf bluesinfizierten Rock und Funk. Nach erfolgreichen Auftritten u.a. im Vorprogramm von Uriah Heep, Iron Butterfly, Carl Palmer, Grandmothers of Invention sowie Canned Heat haben BNB im Jahr 2020 die Lockdown-Zeit im Studio genutzt, um Aufnahmen der letzten Jahre fertigzustellen.

“Down At The Bayous" which is based on a dark swamp-rock groove tells the story of a mysterious werewolf who is up to mischief in the Danube floodplains around Vienna. The track has had a permanent place in BNB's live repertoire for years - now for the first time as a digital release. THE BRAND NEW BARBARIANS (BNB) were founded in the late 1990s by members of the Austrian rock outfit BAHÖÖ (Gerald "Futsch" Furian, Georg Edlinger and Jürgen "Doc G" Gerstmayer) with the intention to revive forgotten Rhythm & Blues and Rock gems by inducing them an edgy charme thru a reduced two guitars/drums line-up. In the course of time, the band expanded their line-up and repertoire to include their own compositions, and since then they have relied on blues-infected rock and funk. After successful appearances as opening act of Uriah Heep, Iron Butterfly, Carl Palmer, Grandmothers of Invention and Canned Heat, BNB used the lockdown time 2020 in the studio to complete recordings from recent years.
