Old Style Blues, Vol. 1

The Berchtesgaden Blues Band cultivates all subgenres from the early beginnings of the blues to today. In the Old Style Blues series, purely acoustic recordings of the band are published.

The release Old Style Blues, Vol. 1 contains the original composition Nanna as well as the great standard Fishing Blues. Both songs are arranged with exciting instrumentation. The guitar, played in picking style, is supported by the rhythm section with the sousaphone, which is rarely heard today, and drums. In addition to singing, Nanna's solo instrument is the slide guitar played with the Dobro and - particularly excitingly - the combined solo of sousaphone and clarinet in Fishing Blues.
