Endo

The first single from Grunge merchants “Succour”, Endo is a song that tackles the horrific effects that endometriosis has on a woman. Written with first-hand by Lance, the lyrics are episodes that have happened. Unfortunately, Lance’s partner suffers with endometriosis and has experienced not the extreme physical pain that accompanies endometriosis but the damaging effect it has on mental health.
With friends and family not understanding what it is and putting a lot of it down being dramatic and saying “it’s all in your head" many women with endometriosis live a lonely and painful life with some unfortunately taking there lives. Most Doctors and Nurses put it down to just a heavy period and offer little to no support, compassion, or empathy and in some cases belittle and humiliate women often letting them get anaemic before help will be offered. The idea for doing this song is to try and help raise awareness of endometriosis but also try and convey what it’s like for Laura, women like her and tell their story.
