Averna Vs Turn Me Out

Steve Britton is a London-based electronic DJ and producer who made his mark on the industry through multi city club nights, the launch of UV Festival – hailed as one of the best 5 micro-festivals in London by Evening Standard and Grazia – and as the director of Hijacker Records.

Equally influenced by electro and progressive house as well as techno and electronica, Steve’s music draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists including Jeremy Olander, Kolsch, Stephan Bodzin, Jon Hopkins and Alex Metric. His arrangements expertly blend classical composition with contemporary production, often dovetailing the emotive with the uplifting, combining driving basslines and soaring leads.

In 2014 his music was used as the soundtrack to “Trip”, a short film by the infamous Falquet Brothers, world renowned free-skiers and pioneering video creators celebrating art and sport in unison. Embedded in London’s underground dance scene, Steve is also part of the “Adventures” collective, running a quarterly night in Deptford Cinema where visual projections provide the backdrop to experimental DJ sets and electronic artists.

An ambassador for unearthing and developing talent, Steve set up Hijacker Records in 2012 as a home to support new artists. After two years in the studio, Steve will finally see the release of his debut album ‘Alias’ later in 2019, the lead track Averna has been given the mash-up treatment with the classic vocals from Swedish House Mafia's hit, Leave The World Behind.
