Mango Trees

Smelly Jelly startet as passion musical project of a few disobedient and rebellious schoolmates in
Graz, Austria.

Inspired by the sound of such bands as Toto, Sting and Billy Joel, while individually mostly having educations in jazz music, they formed a very distinctive sound, playing in pubs, clubs and often rehearsing for several days

The first single called “Mango Trees” feels different than there usual repertoire, which is mostly very sophisticated pop music. The song was written by frontman Jojo Gansch, after randomly finding an old Bouzouki at his mothers house, which gives the base for the prog rock and abstract song that is: Mango Trees.
