Santiago Street Machine's new anthemic indie-dance single
With two impressive single releases under their belt, Santiago Street Machine return with arguably their biggest tune yet: “Holes”
Raging synthesizers over a momentous rock induced rhythm section, allow the lyrics to sit beautifully in an apocalyptic musical meltdown. The melody immediately lures you in, with subtle analogue styled filters and eerie vocal shouts culminating in a huge first chorus drop. Verse by verse the drums and bass combination power through the track, retaining an intensity to match the vocals, whilst a typical Santiago Street Machine climax awaits you, exploding through the final chorus.
'Drowned In Sound' put a tenner on the lads breaking into the mainstream during 2013, whilst 'This Is Fake DiY' heralded their ability to bridge the gap between indie rock and dance. Holes captures both of these sentiments perfectly, so it's no surprise the lads have found themselves playing along side the likes of Bastille and Hot Chip, whilst being compared to Everything Everything, Foals and Delphic.
Airplay on Kerrang!, BBC Intro, Xfm and Amazing Radio, along with festival performances on the main stages of LeeFest, Manchester Pride, Eurocultured and UV Festival gave Santiago Street Machine the momentum they've been looking for at the end of 2012.
Holes is surely the perfect track to continue their rise into 2013.
