Sameer Rao, one of the most promising and prominent disciples of Padmavibhushan Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia Ji, began his musical journey at the age of eleven. Trained by Pandit Ji himself, in the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara at the Vrindaban Gurukul, Mumbai, Sameer has performed extensively in India and abroad. An 'A' graded artist by thr All India Radio, Sameer is a recipient of awards such as 'Surmani', 'Nada Kishore', 'Yuva Pratibha' Etc,.
