Drevored Dejanj

"Drevored dejanj” is Robert Jukic's 12th record, who has been known to explore various musical fields. The renown and tireless slovenian bassist and composer takes his melodies, harmonies and rhythms to another soundscape visiting synths, rhythm machines, sound manipulation and remodelling. The record features a wide and colourful roster of outstanding prominent vocal guests (Nina Strnad, Jadranka Juras, Ana Bezjak, Aphra Tesla, Mija Znidaric, Katja Sulc, Nina Vodopivec, Tjasa Fabjancic, Tamara Obrovac, Vlado Kreslin, Tokac, Dominik Bagola - Balladero & Bostjan Andrejc Busi) who breathe life into words and stories, which are in a way the extention or consequence of some of Robert’s previous records. "Drevored dejanj” is a crossover of various genres from art synth pop to singer-songwriter coloured indie folk, which will take you on a thrilling and picturesque musical journey.

Bassist, arranger, composer, lyricist and producer Robert Jukič is one of Slovenia's most versatile and fruitful musicians. Starting out on electric bass as a teenager playing in different bands, Robert has gradually evolved into a double-bassist, taken up a study at the Academy of Music in Graz, Austria, and started performing with various musicians and bands.
Robert has been appearing for a number of years in venues both in Slovenia and beyond (Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Georgia, Croatia, Italy, Israel, France, Japan, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Morocco, Hungary, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine, Great Britain, USA, etc.) with a long list of Slovenian and international performers and groups.
As a bassist, composer or arranger he is featured on over 60 records. All the styles of music to which he has been exposed are reflected in his records. The nine records he has released to date span different styles - from jazz to classical music, folk, blues, country, alternative pop, chanson and other forms of world music.
Robert writes music for small and large bands as well as for short movies, multimedia performances and art installations. He also works with theaters and teaches at the Conservatory for Music and Ballet in Ljubljana. He received best composition award at the 'Jazzon 2008' composition contest.
