Kafka's Last Pages

PSYCHOMORPH is the collaborative project of multi-instrumentalists Matthew McGhee and Julian O’Donnel as the Band PSYCHOMORPH. Inspired by the fantastic literature of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, their debut concept album “KAFKAESQUE” is dedicated to the life and work of Franz Kafka.
Blending powerful metal and nu metal with catchy choruses and elements of Austrian folk music, the band creates a distinctive and atmospherically dense sound. Their music does not merely reference the “Kafkaesque” — it makes it emotionally tangible.
Alongside biographically inspired songs, the LP features striking reinterpretations of literary classics such as The Metamorphosis, The Trial, The Castle, and A Country Doctor. PSYCHOMORPH successfully merges literary depth with musical intensity — sophisticated, modern, and truly unique.
