Pipeline Punch – Live Session at AKW Zwentendorf Vol. 2
Three musicians, one decommissioned nuclear power plant. Tons of steel and concrete, waiting for something to happen since the 70s. We figured it was time.Pipeline Punch is a trio from Graz, Austria – Felix Martl, Fabio Schurischuster and Roland Hanslmeier. The project came together in late 2025 during a spontaneous first session, when the three met for the first time. It clicked immediately, and within two days more than fifteen songs had taken shape. The result is a sound somewhere between jazz, rock, electronic textures and experimental music – two multi-instrumentalists meeting an extremely versatile drummer, with constantly shifting colors both live and in the studio. Despite only recently having met, the interplay feels organic and lived-in.In April 2026, the band recorded two live sessions inside the control room of Zwentendorf – the nuclear power plant that was built in the 1970s but, after a national referendum, never went into operation. This is the second of those sessions, three songs captured live on site.
