For a band this should result in breaking rules and changing what is commonly thought of as normal and familiar. Overhood feeds on these blends of ideas - they collide concepts to create and surprise the recipient; but most importantly – to satisfy their wicked mind: always hungry, never-to-be satiated. They are a construct made out of imagination and muscle memory – like flesh and blood, experience and childlike curiosity, carefully put together like a jigsaw of characters. They always long for creation, for the unfamiliar and original. They make you listen rather than just hear. Musically, to be out of their comfort zone IS their comfort zone. It is this blend of styles, personalities and backgrounds what makes Overhood unique. They work hard, meticulously choosing every note and rhythm pattern to fit the vision they have in their heads. This long, tedious, yet immensely satisfying process eventually gives birth to what leaves people hooked up and wanting more. When this liquid flow of music enters your system it mixes with your blood and disorients your nervous system. They synapses go haywire, your brain circuitry's temperature rises while endorphins are pumped viciously into your system. You wish to shut it down, but instead you gently drift away in a haze of musical concepts you've never experienced before. As Ortega y Gasset once put it: 'I am, plus my circumstances'; Overhood is, plus their music, constantly evolving, never repetitive, always new.
