ORP release new album "Deep End"

Album number seven sees Orp further expanding their tonal palette, making use of highly compressed and modulated sounds that make it hard to believe that this was recorded exclusively with stringed instruments. Culled from twelve recording sessions between October 2023 and February 2024 and formed into a cohesive whole, "Deep End" is a selection of different moods, from the eerie to the serene. Possibly even more psychedelic than its predecessor, this is highly visual, emotive music that stimulates and soothes the senses at the same time.

About the tracks:

WAIL > PROMENADE > THE VALLEY is actually a suite in which the tracks segue into one anothe without breaks. Unfortunately, we had to separate them on the digital release to copmply with digital listening habits, but you can hear them as intended on the compact disc release.
WAIL is our most overtly political track to date.
AMPÈRE is dedicated to electricity in all forms.
ORBOS is elsewhere, possibly a hidden place.
ALL OTHER TRACKS should be self-explanatory as you listen to them.

On these tracks, MIg played his black cello, and Horst mostly played his blue guitar. A red guitar was also used on occasion.

We have made sure that this album will sound good on quality stereo equipment and with decent (or better) headphones. It will, however. sound awful on mobile phone speakers or computer speakers that cannot adequately deal with low frequencies.

Maximum volume yields maximum tinnitus.
