Eurosong Slovakia 2009 Winner Nela & Kamil "Let tmou" 15th Anniversary

Nela Pocisková and Kamil Mikulčík emerged as the absolute winners of Eurosong Slovensko 2009 with the song "Let tmou"/"Fly Through the Darkness." This magnificent and dynamic artistic composition, full of hope and determination, decisively triumphed in tremendous competition, in one of the largest authorial interpretational competitions in the Slovak Republic, boasting record viewership on Slovak Television.

Through massive voting by tens of thousands of viewers and the professional jury alike, the song was chosen as the victorious one. On May 14, 2009, Nela and Kamil represented the Slovak Republic with their winning song "Fly Through the Darkness" at the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, captivating tens of millions of viewers with their professionally fantastic semifinal performance.

The music and orchestration were crafted by the Slovak music composer Rastislav Dubovský. Timeless lyrics were penned by Slovak lyricists Petronela Kolevská and Ada Žigová. Everyone must, at some point in their lives, fly through darkness and gloom, but it's crucial not to lose courage and hope, but rather to believe in the power of love.

Nela Pocisková and Kamil Mikulčík, notable Slovak singers and versatile artists, interpreted demanding vocal passages with a convincing sincere expression that touches people's hearts.

During live performances at Eurovision, Nela and Kamil were accompanied on stage by the song's author Rastislav Dubovský, who played the piano, and the excellent cellist Jan Pospíšil. The cello part adds a third voice, significantly complementing the vocal duet in symbiosis.

Top Slovak musicians contributed to the song's recording: Michal Kovalčík on guitar, Juraj Griglák on bass guitar, and Juraj Lehuta on drums, who also handled the recording mix.

In the production of the song, Rastislav Dubovský collaborated with experienced musician and conductor Ľubomír Dolný. The original booklet's photography was done by Stanislava Hanusz Hricová. The work is published by DUBOVSKY MUSIC s.r.o. and Artreal s.r.o.

The original recording, as well as the new 2024 remaster of the song, were realized at the DUBOVSKY MUSIC recording studio.
