MODERN EARL release new album "Hot Damn"

MODERN EARL's new studio album “Hot Damn” finds itself somewhere between The Allman Brothers' "Eat A Peach", Thin Lizzy's "Jail Break", and CSNY's "Four Way Street" and even any classic Zeppelin effort. The four piece American Southern Country rock band has lived life on the road for the past five years playing bars, clubs, and some of the largest festivals in Europe. Much of the inspiration for the tracks on their 4th studio album is taken from their vagabond musical existence and experiences gained from performing over 500 shows in 15 countries to boot. "Hot Damn" captures the chemistry and energy soaked sound the band delivers in their red hot stage shows and showcases the vocal harmonies, fierce guitar playing, solid bass lines, and dazzling drumming the guys are known for. MODERN EARL is tight in the truest sense of the word. From the opening and title track "Hot Damn" with its power guitar riff and positive message about being true to ones self to the Americana feel of "Hell or High Water" with its acoustic intro, healthy dose of Hammond organ and piano lines as well as powerful Les Paul guitar solo, the record is upbeat and exciting. The majority of tracks are self penned but there are a couple of covers, including a smoking version of the classic Marshall Tucker Band song, "Hillbilly Band". There is something for everyone on this record. What is clear here is the MODERN EARL sound. With dueling electric guitar harmonies to rustic banjo lines, melancholic lap steel flavor, dirty dobro, and the commanding, gritty, and soulful vocals of frontman Christopher "Earl" Hudson this record would fit easily into the record collection of connoisseurs of southern rock, hard rock, Americana, country rock, roots music and every genre in-between. MODERN EARL's "Hot Damn" is an album with heart, humor, passion and world class musicianship and is meant to be listened to as albums once were, from beginning to end!
