MILADA GAJDOVÁ - PROCHÁZKOVÁ
is originally from Prague, Czech Republic. She studied at the Conservatory in Prague in the class of Prof. Viktor Moučka (1989-1996). Under his leadership, she also took her first steps on important stages; for example, in Dvořák’s hall Rudolfinum and in the recording studio of Czech Radio ( P. A. Loccatelli - Sonata D - major). She continued her studies at the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts under Prof. Jan Páleníček, which she graduated from performing Elgar's Concerto in E-Minor with the North Bohemian Philharmonic Teplice.
In 1998/1999 she studied at the Conservatoire Superieur in Paris with Prof. Jean Marie Gamard and Raffeal Perraud. At the same time, she perfected her art on master classes not only solo, but also chamber music with cellists of such names as, for example Mstislav Rostropovich (Evian/ France - 1995), Mark Drobinsky (Biel/Switzerland-1995), David Sella ( Tel Aviv/Israel - 1998), František Smetana (Bechyně - 1995 -97), Bohuslav Pavlas (Prague 1995-98), Eugene Rattay (Bechyně 1990-1997), Maurice Bourgue, Ida Lewi (Brandýs nad Labem- 1996-97).
She successfully represented the Czech Republic at the International Music Competition of Prague Spring (semifinals). As a soloist, she performed with the South Bohemian Philharmonic Orchestra in Prague and České Budějovice (J. Haydn - Concerto in C major), with the Příbram Philharmonic Orchestra (A: Vivaldi - Concerto for Two Cellos), as a concert master and solo cellist, she worked in the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra from 2004 to 2006.
On the repertoire of Milada Gajdová we can find music of all styles from early Baroque to contemporary music. Since 2003 she has been engaged in contemporary music in the MoEns ensemble, with which she has performed throughout Europe (Germany, France, England) and Canada. She premiered and recorded many works by living authors for Czech Radio and Czech Television, such as Mark Kopeent, Pavel Zemek, Martina Marka.
