Dark Nights

Meluntekijä is a Finnish band playing hard rock and heavy metal. Although the band is a traditional live act, it advocates a more relaxed approach to the use of AI.

Meluntekijä makes it very clear that it makes AI-assisted music even during live performances, as AI is now built into many instruments and the band actively makes use of these possibilities.

Consequently, their debut LP, *Dark Nights*, was created as a hybrid form of music, combining good old-fashioned craftsmanship with AI support. “This is the future, and anyone who shuts their eyes to it will be left behind once all the fuss has died down.”

Behind the band are the Finnish hard rock and metal musicians Aatos Nieminen, Eino Saarinen and Matti Kallio, who have all been active in various band projects for many years and now, together with Meluntekijä, aim to shape the hard rock and metal of the future as hybrid music.
