REFLECTIONS

Hi I am delighted to present these two new songs. Both were written for me by the extremely talented composers Trish & John Waller. I have known Trish & John for many years and have always been a great admirer of his work. Being a father of five girls, ‘My daughter’s questions’ is a song I have felt an extremely close connection with. Its pathos and insight of a young girl turning to her father for enlightenment are distinctly moving and sympathetically presented. Rony Brands production lends itself perfectly to the mood of the song and his treatment of its accompaniment yet another example of his talented insight and knowledgeable interpretation of the writers intentions. ‘Reflections’ tells the old familiar story of lost romance in a particularly clever fashion. There are no longer any images of the ex lover in any reflective object in the jilted spouses existence. Having recently had my partner of thirty years leave the matrimonial home, I can associate perfectly with the sentiments of this particular offering. The absence of a love ones reflection beside you creates an irreplaceable gap in your existence and having been there on at least three occasions in my life I really can claim ‘insider’ knowledge of this sorrowful unfortunate situation One again Ronnie’s treatment of the song is just about as good as it gets. I sincerely hope you enjoy both of these tracks and would like to thank both John and Rony for the opportunity to work with the material and expertise of a couple of really talented members of the music profession.
