KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND are a groove machine between funk and disco and their funky horns get the audiences to dance their shoes off. The band was started by Harry Wayne Casey in Florida in 1973. In their career they have a phenomenal record of seven top ten Billboard 100 hits between 1975 and 1979, whereof FIVE reached No.1. No party in the 70s and 80s without songs from the KC machine. The decline of disco in the later 80s made Casey retire in 1985, but he resurfaced with a new disco wave in the 90s. The band is still pumping out their happy-go-lucky groove till today. Here are their very best songs - one dance floor killer after the other.
