Splendid, the bulldog, is offering his genes to most every bitch in the neighbourhood. An amorous female Major, is more than willingly charmed by the Count, and the effective towns drunk, Charlie, is a regular guest at the Castles kitchen, telling wild stories. But - there is love, romance and dreams. Especially for the maid who is dancing waltz alone in the Castles tower room. The Count's ancestors whose portrait is hanging on the walls in the main hall, what secrets did they take with them to the grave? Is there just a flick of the light that makes the portraits facial expressions change, or is there something else? Who's got the answers? The Count? Perhaps..
