The Magic Nut

Johnson 3! The Hammon Organ based trio from Carinthia Austria is: Rob Bargad (Hammond, voc.), Michael Erian (saxes), & Klemens Marktl (drums). Michael & Klemens are original Carinthians and Rob is a transplanted Bostonian/New Yorker. All 3 live in Carinthia (Southern Austria) and teach at the conservatory in Klagenfurt - the KÄRNTNERLANDESKONSERVATORIUM (we are sure no longer word exists in ANY language...). 4 years ago Johnson 3! debuted with WHAT ABOUT LOVE (Central Station Music), which screamed to the top of the charts (not sure which charts actually, but it was most likely a big hit SOMEWHERE). Central Station is since out of business, but not Johnson 3!. It took a while, and for the new project they enlisted the highly capable and amazing Carinthian guitarist Primus Sitter and the equally capable and amazing Brazilian percussionist Luis Ribeiro. With these additional sound forces, Johnson 3! soars to new musical heights - the multi-dimensional scope of the project includes hard hammond swing, world beat, hip-hop, mellow, r&b, techno, disco, country, christian contemporary, smooth jazz... ok, maybe not ALL of those but whatever you want to call it, The Magic Nut is a fun and crazy and GROOVY musical trip!
