HUNTER LEITE OVERCOMES HER BIGGEST FEAR IN NEW SINGLE

Listen up, because HunTer Leite’s new single, Hoogtevrees, is definitely not something that you want to miss. The song has just been released and is ready to take over radio frequencies across the country. It was written by Rudi Claase and boasts a refreshing contemporary sound and deep heartfelt lyrics that will most definitely resonate with listeners of all ages.

Hoogtevrees is a very personal song about the fear of being alone in love and asking someone to stick with you – in good times and bad times.

“I met someone special and asked him to promise that he would stay with me forever. The song is about that moment when you realize that you are afraid and you struggle to breathe because of it,” she shares about this song that perfectly showcases her rich velvety voice. “It is very special to me, because I have been through it myself and sometimes, I still experience it. I get very emotional when I sing it, because it gives me the opportunity to really express how I feel.”

The track is complemented by an equally moving music video that was filmed in Magaliesburg and Hartebeespoort Dam by Soundz or HunTer Studio. “The video shows that there are different fears and various scenes are used to convey this message. My goal is to motivate people not to allow fear to take over their lives. Everyone is afraid of something, but all fears can be overcome,” says the singer. “It is a heartfelt video that depicts pain and vulnerability, as well as the victory of fear.”

Hoogtevrees is the artist’s fifth Afrikaans single and follows in the successful footsteps of previous hits such as Toe Laat My In, Gee Nooit Op Gee Nooit in and Halfway Around The World, which all topped the charts of various radio stations across the country.

HunTer is a versatile and talented singer-songwriter who has always been passionate about music and started entertaining audiences at the age of fifteen, after landing an opening act for Manuel Escorcio. As a child she not only enjoyed singing karaoke, but also took part in many Eisteddfods and other competitions.

This animal lover, who grew up on a plot in Benoni, has achieved several highlights in her career over the years and won several local and international awards.

The singer reveals that she loves listening to meaningful music and that she has great admiration for international musicians such as Céline Dion, Toni Braxton and Cher. She would also love to collaborate with the likes of Karen Zoid and Sarah Theron locally.

When she’s not on stage, she works as a radio broadcaster and music director and is also busy studying Graphology. She is currently working on her new Afrikaans album and recording with international artists in America, Ireland and Mexico.

HunTer believes that music is part of her DNA... and goes to great lengths to include it in each aspect of her life. Hoogtevrees is not only going to bring hope where it is needed, but is also the start of a very promising new chapter in this talented artist’s music career.
