Press release! Aigua Doce is the second release on fc-jazz by saxophonist Fredrik Carlquist. On this production we get to hear Fredrik in a duo setting with the Swedish guitar virtuose Johan Leijonhufvud. In 17 tracks consisting mainly of standards they explore this challanging format with a strong interplay that can only be achieved by playing together for many years. Both players improvise in different directions without loosing contact with their strong melodic languages. "With only two players in the band you are playing of each others ideas all the time which creates a focus in the interplay that is easy and fun to follow for the listener. The obvious limitations of the setting pushes you to really establish a musical conversation with the other muscian.
