ES Waves - Powerdrome Released by: ES Waves Media Release/catalogue number: ESWM-004 Release date: April 25, 2011 ES Waves Media presents ESWM-004 ES Waves - 'Powerdrome' the first music to be released from the second full length ES Waves album ES Waves - ‘Parasol Stars’. This package contains two mixes of ‘Powerdrome’, the ‘Album Mix’ and ‘DJ DBE’s Blue Ocarina Mix’ each being progressive house tracks. The ‘Album Mix’ (running at 09:46) is a prog-trance track which forms part of the segued core of the second ES Waves album Parasol Stars. A lush electronic production with soaring pads and an acid line that cuts through the mix nicely which contains some fine detailing. ‘DJ DBE’s Blue Ocarinal Mix’ (running at 09:52) is has some mean filter sweeps and additional futuristic percussion but it is fairly similar to the album mix in tone. 2006 saw the release of the first ES Waves album ‘Nakatomi Plaza’ released on the defunct Inaspace Recordings label. Also in 2006 the dj Jonathan Lisle asked ES Waves to help out on his OS_0.2 mix album released on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records label de-constructing each track to create several dj tools which Jonathan used throughout that mix. Powerdrome is the fourth release on ES Waves Media following ESWM-001 ES Waves - ‘Nean Dreams / Laser Beams’, ESWM-002 ES Waves - ‘Email for Lucky’ and ESWM-003 ES Waves - ‘Wavelands’. The next release on ES Waves Media will be the second ES Waves full lenth album ESWM-005 ES Waves - ‘Parasol Stars’. A culmination of four years of production work, a triumph of inspiration and work ethic, ES Waves - ‘Parasol Stars’ showcases a futuristic yet humanistic sound that both rocks and rolls. ES Waves Media also presents an occasional series of podcasts showcasing the music and dj sets of ES Waves.
