Don Tarz began his musical career in secondary school with the Area 0 Crew in the late 1990s. The team recorded their first serious song, 'Lakers Time,' with other members of Lakers Empire in December 2012. In 2013, new songs with the Empire were recorded, including 'Tachoka,' 'Blackberry,' 'Kupupuluma,' 'C Dem,' and many more. Don Tarz collaborated with Warge Records in September 2013 to release Zalero (ithyoke ithyoke riddim), followed by Kasupe wa Moyo (Kasupe riddim), At Capital Hill (Cashgate riddim), and Ndichani (Kaitana Kavula riddim) in November 2013.
