Mey Paradeesaye

Sri Lankan Singer/Songwriter Dinupa Kodagoda releases her latest single "Mey Paradeesaye",
a long-awaited song that has been initially performed for THEEVRA Live (2008) concert in Colombo.
Ever since she started to perform this song on live gigs and on live TV, the song has been highly appreciated by her fans.


The Concept

The song was a concept developed by both the Composer Nadika Weligodapola & Dinupa herself.
The idea of the song was to create an atmosphere to feel the Essence of Love from a feminine perspective.
It does not interpret the "I Love You, You Love Me" kind of expression. In this song, a girl talks about love in a universal aspect,
letting the audience absorb it according to their own intellect.

About the Artiste.

Dinupa is a one-of-a-kind Artist and Performer. Being a member of the musical Tv program ‘Hapan Pedura’ (2001-2007), Dinupa has gained her popularity as a child artist. She's working as both a professional recording artist and a live performer. At the age of 4, she started to learn Hindustani Classical Music, later on, she became a member of Dr. Premasiri Khemadasa Foundation (a pioneering composer of Sri Lankan Opera). Since 2008 she has been a member & the co-artistic director of the THEEVRA ensemble. She graduated with a Performing Arts (Special) Degree from the University of Visual & Performing Arts (Colombo). Dinupa is an award-winning actress who also works in Theatre and Cinema and participated in several local and international Arts festivals. At the moment she’s working with two theatre productions and getting ready for the THEEVRA Live concert series along with a music album release.
