Doin’ Business as...

In 1973 Jeff Beck, Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice formed a supergroup power trio à la Cream to show the rockworld where it's at. Again three capital letters. Instead of Jeff Beck we have now a capital d for Rick Derringer. Not a bad deal, as also Derringer worked with an army of well-known musicians: a.o. Johnny and Edgar Winter, Alice Cooper e.g., but also Steely Dan, Barbra Streisand and various solo-projects cemented the fame of the ex "McCoys" sloopy.
He is more than an appropriate frontman for the super bassman Tim Bogert and drum legend Carmine Appice. und Drummer-Legende Carmine Appice. The trio rocks as if time had stood still. Rock, Blues-Rock, sometimes sinister ("Telling Me Lies"), sometimes happy, like Van Halen. No subtle arrangements, but right in the face Rock 'n' Roll ... tempo, power. This is what RnR is all about. Dig it!
