Pass My Time

Jeder von uns kennt es. Dieses nagende Gefühl im Hinterkopf, das stets von einer simplen Frage begleitet wird: „Was mache ich hier eigentlich?“ Man hält inne, sieht für einen Moment aus dem Fenster. Verbringt man seine Zeit richtig? Verschwenden wir sie? Gibt es überhaupt ein richtig oder falsch in diesem Kontext, oder sind wir es einfach nur gewohnt, unsere Welt in schwarz und weiß zu denken?
All diese Überlegungen, die meist in einem Wirrwarr aus Frustration und Hilflosigkeit gipfeln, nur um dann langsam wieder zu verebben, finden in CURBs neuer Single „Pass My Time“ ihren explosionsartigen Ausdruck. Der Song brodelt bereits durch den Einstieg mit Gitarre und Breakbeat mit einer Dringlichkeit, die sich schließlich im Refrain ruckartig entlädt und durch wiederholte Gangshouts zu ihrem Höhepunkt findet. Das Ergebnis: Kompromissloser Punk und jede Menge Energie.
Das dazugehörige Video, gespickt mit jeder Menge Uhren und wilden Übergängen, vermittelt diese ganz bestimmte Hektik, hervorgerufen durch die Angst, dass uns die Zeit davonläuft. Für was genau, bleibt jedoch offen.

All of us know it. The gnawing feeling in the back of your head, accompanied by a simple question: „What am I doing here?” You pause and look out of the window. Am I using my time properly? Am I wasting it? Is there even a right or wrong in that context or are we just used to living in a world of black-and-white thinking?
All these thoughts, which usually culminate in a mess of frustration and helplessness only to slowly die down again, are captured in an explosive way in CURBs new single „Pass My Time”. From the beginning on the song conveys a sense of urgency through the guitar riff and breakbeat eventually erupting into a chorus that finds its climax in repeating gang shouts and bouncy instrumentals. The result: Uncompromising Punk and loads of energy.
The accompanying music video, sprinkled with clocks, watches and wild transitions, delivers this certain kind of rush, caused by the fear of your time ticking away in front of your eyes.
