Apolo

Buenos Aires — Argentine singer-songwriter, music therapist and doula Clara Febré today shares “Apolo”, a new indie-folk single that moves between weightlessness and the simple act of returning to the room you are in.

The song opens in uncertainty and then softens:

No tengo idea a dónde vamos
Tengo la sensación de que si cierro los ojos
Salgo flotando hacia otro lugar

From there it turns toward the listener. Febré writes it as a place to set something down: “Esta canción es para vos / Para que sueltes toda el alma / Y te dejes acunar.” Touching Apollo — whether the name is a person, a ritual, or a moment of light — brings her back to the present. So does leaving a course on a canvas. The image that follows is practical and tender: “Ahora toca remojar los pinceles.”

The last lines open the door wider. What was left behind is named, then released: “Desactivemos juntos esa bomba que dejaste atrás / La cueva se abre y salen libres los colores.” The arrangement stays close to the voice, with guitar as the thread that holds the floating and the landing in the same breath.

“Apolo” continues the line Febré has been drawing across recent work — songs that accompany silence, grief and the slow return of color — without asking the listener to explain anything. It is an invitation to close the eyes, come back, and pick up the brushes.
