Ghosting – the deliberate ignoring of someone – is one of the most psychologically challenging forms of rejection in the modern world. In one of his most personal songs, Calim sings about precisely this experience, which he had to endure over several years. "Love isn't always a choice – especially not when we relinquish control of our emotions, open our hearts wide, and allow all the deep feelings of love that another person can evoke in us. At the same time, this opening of the heart carries the risk of becoming very vulnerable," Calim says.
