Glassbeadgame

“Glassbeadgame” is based on a melody inspired by the game in Hermann Hesse’s novel of the same name. Musically, it is a tribute to Gershon Kingsley’s “Popcorn”, which was made famous by Hot Butter in 1972 and celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Coincidentially, 2022 also marks the 60th anniversary of Hermann Hesse’s passing.
The single is complemented by “Poseidon’s Kiss”, a newly recorded tune from Stone’s vast archives.
Both tracks have been given the full “Almost Analogue” treatment.
