Pianist Cecilia Pillado presents her new album GIN-GER live recorded!
This single first releases the 3rd movement of George Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F “Allegro agitato” in which the rhythm is the protagonist. The tempo is pulsating, energetic and vigorous throughout the movement, which has also several references to ragtime. Gershwin described the final movement as “an orgy of rhythms, starting violently and keeping the same pace throughout.”We can find the proof that Cecilia Pillado is a piano virtuoso in this new album that contains two of the most important concertos of the 20th century: the “Concert for Piano and Orchestra No. 1 Op. 28” by the Argentine composer Alberto Ginastera and the “Piano Concerto in F major” by the famous George Gershwin. Recorded live in the 90s, they could, today, be considered historical or landmark recordings without a doubt. Firstly, the last movements of each piano concert (4th by Ginastera and 3rd by Gershwin) are releasing on the same date, because they are very similar to each other due to their frenetic, constant and overwhelming rhythm.
