The New Album of Cattleya - Diary on Prova Records

Prova Records presents this third album by a trio that has been performing and composing together for over 18 years. Cattleya is a collaboration between the Italo-Belgian pianist Michel Bisceglia and two German musicians Volker Heinze on bass and the drummer-percussionist, founder and main composer of the trio, Harald Ingenhag. This new album “Diary” was presented on November 14, 2007 in Brussels (Belgium). Cattleya introduces with Diary nine own works and an adaption of the song “White Shade Of Pale”. Diary, is a result of 18 years of long creative cooperation, stands for the authentic identity of Cattleya. After a long musical journey through poetic ways, inspired by novellist Marcel Proust, became the CD Diary a “coming home-CD”, where Cattleya blossoms fully open in its own identity. Music that shows a wonderful confluence of energetic passion and romanticism, which each in a melodic, and yet typical jazzy climax that again comes to rest. With respect for the individual and the space it needs as a musician, gives Harald Ingenhag as founder and drummer of the trio, a sample of broadening interaction. The lyric-romantic input with jazz as a basis, which is so typical for Michel Bisceglia will amply earned his place. Folker Heinz completes, in his bearing creative game, the finishing touch. The German press summarized Cattleya’s music with flowery words, : “Music at The Edge to silence, full of passion, intensity and identity”.
