Balance and Flow

Alexander Steinocher, a Singer/Songwriter from Graz/Austria, releases his debut album, "Balance and Flow", in spring 2026. The album explores various themes, including his own inner balance and the flow of music within humanity itself. Social commentary is also present, though the artist always maintains a personal connection. It's clear that stories of love and pain run deep within him and are woven equally deeply into his music. He began writing his album one sunny morning in Salzburg, skipping Easter breakfast with his family to avoid annoying questions. He finished it later in Graz, writing the last three songs in a single night.

“My heart beats for music and for writing lyrics. I draw them from the depths of my emotions and put them on paper, which brings me balance in this terribly fast-paced world. A world full of flashing lights and deafening sirens that push themselves to the forefront and separate life on Earth from what truly matters. In this frantic exchange, almost like a confused dance, all sorts of stimuli fly through the air and we humans distract ourselves with them. We focus on superficial distinctions dictated to us by trends and fashion, instead of finding our own rhythm and entering the flow of life on gentle wings of joy. As brothers. I can't exempt myself from this criticism because I'm a child of my time, just as we all are. I make the same mistakes, have the same weak moments, I've hurt and I've been hurt. It seems as if we humans draw a lot of fear and despair from this seemingly endless emotional abyss, which in turn leads to hatred and death. I don't want to do that anymore. I want to make my music. I want to draw the beauty out of this deep pit, because it is there, even if we cannot see it”, says Alexander Steinocher.

For his debut album “Balance and Flow” Alexander Steinocher starts a collaboration with Singer/Songwriter Christoph Calim and the Music Record Label GUARDIANS OF EARTH. GUARDIANS OF EARTH is a fusion of an indie artist movement & Music Creation Community. It is a NON-Organisation, an Open Source, a totally free network of people including artists of the Music, Literature, Fine Arts, Film, Theater, Dance, Graphic and Photography scene. In all its cultural works, publications, statements or projects, GUARDIANS OF EARTH acts exclusively for the highest good of humanity, our planet Earth and the empowerment of the artist’s freedom. Alexander Steinocher is a Singer/Songwriter, born and raised in Salzburg before moving to Graz at the age of 18, where he received individual musical instruction from various mentors. He largely taught himself his first main instrument, the guitar, while also taking private lessons in vocals and piano, eventually making his voice his second main instrument. He soon ventured onto the stage, gaining his first experience at various open mic nights and open stages in Graz, some of which he later hosted himself. His style developed accordingly. Influences from blues, rock, folk, and pop culminate in singer-songwriter music, the character of which runs through all his songs. His biggest influences are musicians like Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, as well as Bob Dylan and Don McLean. Aside from open mic nights, he organizes concerts at "Cafe Stockwerk," called "Alex Live" which he sets up like an open stage, performing his own songs as well.
