Uncle Creepy - Tunes that will keep you awake at night
Originating in the forgotten backwaters of North East England, Uncle Creepy aim straight and true. Bass influences include Geddy Lee, Cliff Burton, and Cronos of early Venom fame. Another influence was an early bass tutor, the late John Cunningham of Noirth east England, who was a big Jaco fan, so, by default, there could be some of him in the mix too. The effects used on Knee Deep In Evil are all simulated guitar effects, amps and speakers. Rickenbacker basses were used exclusively on this CD. The drums are real drum samples programmed on Fruity Loops and include Lars Ulrich's snare sample from Metallica's "Black Album". While Uncle Creepy birthed as a recording only project, there are plans to take it live in 2019 with rehearsals starting in Spring, hopefully gigging later in 2019. Tom Iddison - drums, and Phil Dunn - bass, have been recruited to complete the Uncle Creepy line-up, and are more than capable of producing the cacophony of sound to be found on Uncle Creepy's debut album, Knee Deep In Evil.
