The Dandifieds' music is influenced by early ska, reggae and rock steady from the 60s. Their sound and style is very comparable to the ska revival at the end of the 70s, which permanently made history under the synonym 2Tone.
After being founded in 2006, the quintet made a name for itself in the scene and was able to bring dance and music halls to a boil as the opening act for the legendary Pioneers, Mr. Symarip (aka Roy Ellis) and punk originals Toy Dolls. After performances at home and abroad, things have been a bit quiet around the band in recent years for personal reasons, but since 2020 the Dandies have been spending a lot of time in the rehearsal room with a new drummer to bring their mix of original compositions and cover versions to the people to ensure unforgettable ska nights. In 2025, their long-awaited long player is finally released on renowned German scene label “Randale Records” after a few self-produced releases.
