New release by Slovak folk-rock/world music band Slniečko out now!

In the autumn of 1983 a bunch of friends met on her first sound test, no one foresaw that 32 years later will be in June 2015 as one of the most interesting folk-rock/punk music bands with traces of world music and gypsy sounds of Slovakia baptize their already the eighth album. Meanwhile, however, they had to go through a long path whose beginnings go back deep into the last century. As Peter Remiš says, one of those who have been at it all: "The founding members Michal Urban and Peter Remiš in the 60s met in Trebatice by playing cowboys and Indians. At puberty they founded several musical projects, while Michal, sometimes called "Gypsy", played the accordion and Peter, better known as "Punto" imitated singing and playing the guitar. Initially they called Tom & Jerry, the Simon & Garfunkel, later became famous as Paul McCartney and John Lennon. In the 80s they interrupted musical career and spent two seasons in the circus Berousek where during day shoveled elephant dung of aviaries and in the evenings acted as a comic duo Ball & Hranáčik. In the mid 80's again they return to the music scene with the band Punto & fish head, which quickly renamed Communist "riťolízači" do not mean anything to the Slniečko. This name had to remain faithful because Slniečko has become a popular pub band in the whole district Piestany, where artists anchor. "Right from the start, the specific musical production, but especially lyrics sung in Trnava dialect and reflecting the "daily life of village working people" become one of the main characters of the band. Members about themselves say they are musicians self-taught, those daring to reveal themselves and that they do not know music, but nothing that really detracts from the authenticity and strength of their musical statements. On the contrary - it makes them all the more unmistakable. Currently the band after several personnel changes - to quote again Petra Remiša "In our midst has changed hands many prominent players who have fallen into oblivion once left the band" plays composed of Peter Remiš (vocals, acoustic guitar), Michael Urban (accordion, mouth harmonica), Robert Gajdošík (drums), Ladislav Scroll (guitar, mandolin, harmonica), Marianne Mišík (bass, bass) and first lady Barbara Baros band originating from Portugal (violin). On the album there are fifteen new songs to the total hometowns also contributed an actor, writer and playwright, native of "Radošínci" Stanislav Štepka a fun track "Do not drink brandy." The proven hit groups "Ludevít Štúr", "Strýko Džony", "Rajčiny", "Veselé", "Rebel na hovado", "Balada o cigánovi Dominovi, kerý sa obesev v trnavském cukrovare" thus joined other unforgettable songs.
