Groove to the Mantra Vibes of Avataran 2 by Sahil Jagtiani
After his successful debut ‘Avataran’ this album sees a shift in his music style from contemporary devotional rock to a more club and dance orientation. It is also marks Sahil’s debut as a recording and mixing sound engineer in his newly inaugurated home studio in Bangalore, where he now resides.Sahil’s view on Avataran 2: Mantra Vibes: "This album was made in order to get some of my popular compositions from my first album into the mainstream. The programming was all done from “Reason” and this album gave me an opportunity to learn about the music industry as a whole. It was a good experience and was the first time I played all the melody lines from a MIDI keyboard. The song ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ was basically made for a video, a shorter unreleased 3 minute and 45 second unreleased piece was also created. Constantino Francorsi and Hitesh did a wonderful job on this track. However, most of the album was recorded, edited and mixed in my first house in Bangalore. The song ‘eTERNITY’ is the first piano piece that I came up with (I never learnt piano). The track "Hallelujah" is one I play on almost all my youth concerts, with crunching lead guitar of course, and it was my late Grandfather’s favourite song, so it holds a special place in my heart. The entire album other than the last song, which a slow "shanti" track, has a club feel and is great for Yoga, the Young at heart and for those who love fast, groovy and uplifting music."Inspired by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and In Loving Memory of Dhirendranath SenMusic Direction, Arrangemnent, Lead Vocals and Compositions by Sahil JagtianiInstrumentation and base programming for all tracks by Sahil Jagtiani, except + by Sahil, Costantino Francorsi and Hitesh; and * by Costantino FrancorsiAdditional Vocals on ‘Hallelujah’ by Nina JehangirRecorded by Sahil Jagtiani at Studio Avataran, except + by Sahil, Costantino Francorsi and Hitesh; and * by Costantino FrancorsiMixed and Mastered by Sahil Jagtiani
