Problems releases debut EP 'For The Ages'
Problems is the brainchild of Justin Walkden a South Australian musician and producer currently readying for the release of his debut EP on April 18.
Having toured nationally and internationally through his involvement in other musical endeavours, Problems began as a casual creative outlet for Justin. Once he finished up recording with his current band, the producer put a name to his series of home recordings and Problems was born. As he realised he needed another edge to his sound, enter Shane Lock, whose distinct vocal stylings were the final piece of the puzzle.
Influenced by world music and downtempo electronica, Problems mixes analogue sounds with modern production, resulting in a cross between the chill wave vibes of Washed Out and the worldly electronica of Bonobo.
Releasing a number of tracks online via his Soundcloud page, Problems has quickly gained momentum with worldwide praise from numerous top rating blogs. Following this early success, Problems has been hard at work on ‘For The Ages’ his debut EP to be released April 18 through Mirador Records.
Described by Problems as “depicting a memory we still long for of a time that didn’t matter,” 'For The Ages' is a lush, sprawling collection of mellow tracks that spiral with intimate ambition. Immersed in themes of youth and nostalgia, 'For The Ages' is an emotive experience through past lives, present relationships and future experiences, a journey that is only just beginning…
