Kitsch - Single

The Ping Pong Boys are movement. A movement between Mannheim and Mexico, a movement between Fabian Burstein and Stefan Galler, a movement of acoustically written songs, which themselves have made comfortable in the boundlessness of electronic music. The emergence of the Ping Pong of boys is not a myth. Fabian Burstein and Stefan Galler have met in Vienna and made music together. One of them, an author, who went to Mannheim with his family to run a cultural institution and the other one, a known singer/songwriter, who went to Mexico with his girlfriend to explore different cities. What remains: the musical interplay, away from stuffy rehearsal rooms and sweaty clubs. An exchange of files across the Atlantic that have grown into the KITSCH album. During the creation of the album Fabian Burstein and Stefan Galler never personally met. One might say kitsch is an oxymoron – two artists alone together in beat and tempo, creating a duet of solitude. Stefan Galler sings, because he is the better singer. It is still uncertain whether the Ping Pong Boys will ever play live.
