More re-constructed Blues/Rock from the Pig'n'aif jam-band line-up

We are pleased to announce that the ’Pig’n’aif Blue-ish’ album is now on release. This album completes the current collection of tracks performed by the Pig'n'aif jam-band line-up. As was the case with the previous 'Pig'n'aif Blue' album, this release contains re-constructed Blues and Rock standards, with arrangements and treatments of the material in the band’s own style. The tracks are quite definitely given Pig'n'aif's own inimitable twist. Once again their performance does not copy the stylings of other artists who have performed them, but it may well nod in their general directions. That said, we can promise you that there are some very different treatments of some classic numbers contained in this album. This album hopefully alters preceptions about how classic Rock and Blues numbers have to be performed and will make another handsome addition to anyone’s album collection. The jam-band line-up performs solely for fun, to play their own take on some music they have not played before... live. As they say, ‘It is nothing too clever or too creative. Just good old fashioned rock/blues done our way, that you can bang your prosthetics to.’ The album is beautifully produced and has received a lot of critical acclaim already. The Guitars and Backing Vocals on the album are performed by Pete Bangert. He also performs Lead Vocal on track 14. For this recording the Pig'n'aif line-up is joined by superb vocalist and frontman Jack Bunker. Jack is the vocalist from the NWOBHM band 'Phoenix Rising' where he performed with Pete. They are very pleased to renew their working relationship on this album. Jack performs Lead Vocal on the majority of the album with the exception of tracks 1, 7 and 14. He performs Backing vocals on track 14. The album also features Lead Vocals from Mel Day on tracks 1 and 7. Mel performed the primary vocal duties on the the previous 'Pig'n'aif Blue' albnum. The bass on the album was performed once again by Session Pete, our friendly session man. Drums and percussion were performed by Clatterfoot, one of the other members of the extended Pig'n'aif musical family. Once again they say it had to be done... and now it has been. (Maybe until the next set of jam-band gigs spawns a revival of other re-constructed Rock and Blues standards).
