The Nr 1. hungarian heavy metal band celebrated its 25th birthday.

- HMRCD096B The band was founded in 1986 by Endre Paksi. In the same year they released their 1st demo and the 2The Nr 1. hungarian heavy metal band celebrated its 25th birthday with an enormous jubilee show at Petőfi Hall on the 21th May 2011.nd in the next year. They got the chance to play with bands like Pretty Maids or Helloween, later with Uriah Heep and Dream Theather. In 1988 they toured with UDO, released the first full-lenght album ‘Acélszív’, they did their first tour in Hungary as a headliner, had an album release show at Petőfi Hall, and they played before Iron Maiden at Kisstadion. Until 1994 they released an album/year, they had several successful headliner tours in Hungary, also in Transylvania. In 1991 their new album opened at first place at the TOP 40 album chart. In 1994 the band broke up, Endre Paksi started a new band: Wellington (progressive metal), released 3 albums. At the same time he wrote several thrillers and became a successful author. In 1998 the final line-up of Wellington played a tribute concert to Ossian - its success forced the singer Endre Paski to restart the band officially. Richárd Rubcsics (guitar), Péter Hornyák (drums) became since the reunion solid members of the reactivated Ossian. The show was recorded and released. After the live album’s good feedback a special album was out, called ”Az Utolsó Lázadó” EP. In 1999 the comeback album (Fémzene) was released, after it Attila Wéber (Ex-Sámán) became permanent member of the band. In 2000 and 2001 they released 2 albums (Gyújtópontban and Titkos Ünnep). The album reached a fine position at the official sales charts and in this year they celebrated their 15th birthday, with big success, full-house Petofi Hall show. At the end of the year Krisztán Erdélyi (ex-Falanx) joined the band as bass player, since then the line up of Ossian is the same! In 2003 they release the Hangerőmű album, and in the next year the Tűzkeresztség, which opened at number 1 position at the charts again! In 2005 they released the Szabadság fantomja CD, and they played extended tour at the nearby countries. In 2006 the band celebrated its 20th birthday, with a special album (A Lélek Hangja), and a jubilee release with live DCD and DVD in a box-set. New albums in 2007 and 2008 - all new albums charted in the TOP 5 in Hungary, mostly at TOP 1 position. In 2009 they released a best of album of the last 10 years, and in september the „Egyszer az életben” album, also on vinyl. In 2011 the band celebrated their 25th years anniversary, released a new album called “Az lesz a győztes” (also in a nice digipack limited edition with bonus CD -the full 2009 album presentation gig, over 75 minutes!) and gave a jubilee show in may at Petőfi Hall’s Open Air Area. The full show was filmed with 12 cameras, 2 Jimmy Jibs - the amazing sound recording and concert video is released now with all songs of the show on DVD and double live CD, and as strictly limited digipack DVD+2CD on a special price!
