Getragen von persönlichen Erlebnissen der letzten Jahre und mit großer Freude am Spiel und an der Improvisation, nimmt das achtteilige Werk »Atme Seele, heile« den Klavierliebhaber mit auf eine intensive wie genussvolle Achterbahnfahrt der Emotionen.

Ob heiter, melancholisch oder dramatisch: Sukiennik reflektiert einschneidende Lebenserfahrungen und verwandelt das Persönliche virtuos in die ausdrucksvolle Geschichte »Atme Seele, heile« mit Elementen aus Jazz, Pop und Klassik. Eine Erzählung die, wie sich herausstellt, ein tief verbundenes und dabei wunderbar ausdrucksstarkes musikalisches Werk ist.

Marcus Sukiennik spielt seit über 25 Jahren Piano live. Als Hauspianist im Steigenberger Grandhotel Petersberg und in der Piano Bar des Excelsior Hotel Ernst zieht er die Zuhörer ebenso in seinen Bann wie im WDR Funkhaus und auf betrieblichen oder privaten Veranstaltungen. Im eigenen Musikverlag und Label Linie 21 veröffentlicht er drei Musikgenres: Easy Listening mit ›Piano Lounge‹, ›Piano Classics‹ und ›All-Time Standards‹, themenbezogene Musik wie ›Xmas Piano‹ und Konzertmusik vertreten durch ›Lebendige Tonwelt‹ und ›Ludus‹.

If music is the language of the soul, then Marcus Sukiennik has a lot to tell on his new album series LUDUS I VOL 1. The eight part work »Atme Seele, heile« (‘breathe in, expand and heal your soul’) is the result of significant experiences in the life of the artist. Fuelled by his love for piano music, the cologne based pianist and composer freely ‘soul speaks’ with his audience, taking them on a delightfully intense roller coaster ride of feelings and emotions.

Sometimes bright and bubbly, sometimes melancholic and other times dramatic – every one of the eight pieces is borne from deeply intimate life episodes that shaped the artist. Sukiennik takes us by the hand into his inner world, relating life stories with virtuosity as he uses elements from jazz, pop and classical music to punctuate his tale. A narrative, which then turns out to be a beautifully expressive work of music.

Marcus Sukiennik has been playing live in various locations for over twenty-five years. As the house musician in both the Steigenberger Grandhotel Petersberg and the Piano Bar of the Excelsior Hotel Ernst, Marcus Sukiennik continues to hold his audience spell bound. His music mesmerizes listeners everywhere: in Piano Lounges, in WDR Funkhaus, in corporate events and in private parties.
