Enjoy The Shut Down
Alternative-Outlaw-Country-Rock & Americana artist Marc Miner is one of very few profiteer of the world-wide economic and social shut down. On his new single “Easy Street” he explains why, of course with a wink. The song will be out on May 1st.Marc Miner’s newest single release “Easy street” is not only a great outlaw story about good-offs and an take it easy kind of attitude, but also musically it’s a great feel good Americana song - light fooded country with a touch of latin feel. It lifts the mood in times when the whole world is practicing social distancing due to the corona virus. The artist explains: “I started to write the song during the financial crisis in 2008. I liked the line ‘Now that the whole world is shut down’, but now with the health crisis it even was more appropriate.” Every crisis evokes a few winners and a lot of losers, but Miner had a look on a special look on some of the winners: “See, all the misfits and outsiders who never fit into standards, those who already were practicing social distancing all through their life and never had regular jobs and never tried to become what’s considered ‘normal’, they now must feel like ‘oh, what a fantastic twist of fate. The whole world finally adapts to my way of living.’”. After all Miner exactly knows about this attitude as he always been one of the “hard-working misfits”, as he calls it. “You know, I’m chasing a dream of a easier, friendlier life for everybody, but it’s a long and hard way. Obviously the world needs a pandemic crisis to understand that, but I really hope that after all the pain, we will raise again and get of some of the fucked up social and economic standards. I really do!” And until then… enjoy the shut down on and with “Easy Street”.Marc Miner - BioMarc Miner is an outlaw alternative country, americana and folk musician and globe trotter.
