On acoustic-electric journeys Austrian musicians Anna Widauer and Chris Norz tell the story of a sad balloon, search for eternal beauty in artificial languages. They travel in dreamy fantasies from the purple fields of France to a tiled insane asylum.

The work of the duo is shaped by Chris Norz’s rythmic and compositional diversity. In combination with Anna Widauer’s touching lyrics that reflect her affinity for literature, the musicians develop very personal and unconventional songs. Though highly emotional, the music stays authentic in its simplicity.


'Lila' pulls the listener into the colour of Anna Widauer’s enchanting voice, freely moving on top rhythmic claps and piano chords. Chris Norz’s electronic and acoustic drum beats transform 'Lila' into a captivating tapestry of sound. 'On an invisible leash I perform movements we agreed upon'...Anna Widauer's lyrics picture a desire of leaving social constraints behind – a longing to take on another form to feel and sense again: 'Love comes lingering into my cold steel bones.'

The songtitle is inspired by Lila, the protagonist in Elena Ferrante’s neapolitan Novels. In the final chapter Lila disappears without leaving any traces.


Through the contrast of grooving industrial beats and the hymnic hookline on 'Too Beautiful' Anna Widauer and Chris Norz have created an unusual but catchy popsong.

It's about the wish to end this beauty to develope something ugly, something hideous in the depths. Finally you realize that only in death beauty becomes infinite, untouchable, complete.
