Debut album by Slovak pianist and composer Jana Bezek out now!

Jana Bezek Trio operates since 2010, its activity is based on the spread of acoustic music (composed by leader), the interpretation of contemporary jazz and improvised music. Members of the trio first met while studying at the Academy of Music in Krakow and have been actively playing in Poland and Slovakia for several years. Their music can be heard at various festivals and music clubs. The album Cracow contains selected compositions which were written by the pianist during her life in Krakow, Poland. It is peculiar musical tribute to the city and brings the listener its atmosphere - magic, sentimental, deep, jazz. The album was recorded acoustically in a renowned music studio RecPublica in Lubrza. Recognized Warsaw sound engineer Tadeusz Mieczkowski, who has many awards and collaborations with outstanding artists, had participated in the final sound of the album.Jana Bezek, born in Stropkov, is fully dedicated to music from her meeting with the Polish jazz scene. In her early work she played with unique Polish jazz vocalist Grzegorz Karnas and cellist Adam Oles. At the Academy of Music in Krakow she studied jazz with a composer and pianist Joachim Mencel and interpretation of classical music with Elzbieta Hoffman. Furthermore, she has been interested in solo playing, improvised music, she composes for children and for several years she has been intensively engaged in studying of baroque music. She is leading pedagogical activities in Bratislava and regularly holds Muzikula workshops about improvised music for children and young people.
